At Springdale Nazarene Church, we gather to remember, to embrace, and to anticipate the Story of a God who is faithful and brings freedom. We want to create an environment where your story can connect with God’s story each week. We know that your first time at a church—any church—brings up some questions. Here are some answers to some of those frequently asked questions.
What happens on Sunday morning?
Our Sunday morning services begin at 9:30a and at 11:00a at our Springdale campus and 10:45a at our Norwood location..Come a little early and enjoy some free coffee at our Cafe. Our Early Childhood Department (Birth to Pre-K) and Children’s program (K-6th) can assist your children’s needs starting 30 minutes before each worship time..

How long does the service last?
Generally, our Worship Celebrations run about an hour (sometimes a smidge more).

What if I have special needs?
Our Springdale campus is completely handicap accessible—automatic doors, bathrooms, and elevator. Listening devices are available for those with hearing needs. One of our greeters would be happy to assist.

Where do I park?
At our Springdale campus we have a large handicap accessible parking area and a covered drop off for your convenience. But let us park for you! We have valet parking for both our services.
Our Norwood campus has a small parking area along with available street parking as well.

What should I wear?
Please come dressed in a manner that you are most comfortable. Most folks choose to dress as if they were going out to dinner but you will see everything from suits and ties and dresses to t-shirts and jeans. Your presence is more important than your appearance.

What do you believe?
We believe that we are here to bring glory to God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We passionately desire to worship Jesus Christ, to instruct and encourage Christians, to become like Christ, and to share our savior and Lord with the world.

What is the service like?
Think of our Worship Celebration time like a good story—It has several chapters that tell the one Story of God. Some chapters involve singing, prayer, speaking the Story (the sermon), participating in the Story with our finances, our own story, and through communion. Our music is a blend of songs that help tell God’s story—ancient hymns, modern songs, songs led with our incredible choir and orchestra or with our worship band. We have  video screens for words, Biblical passages, and sermon points. We use video and special music. You can listen to sermons here.

What About Child Care?
At Springdale Nazarene Church, we believe that our youngest—from infant to preschool—need to be loved and taught just as the children, youth, and adults are each Sunday. In a safe and secure environment, our dedicated and trained volunteers share the love of Jesus with the youngest members of our community.

Is it safe to leave my children with you?
At SNC, your children’s safety is our main priority. Our volunteer team goes through an extensive background check, rigorous training program, and ongoing leadership development by our Early Childhood Director and Children’s Pastor. Both our Early Childhood and Children’s ministries are in a secure and safe area of our building with limited access.

Do you have other Sunday morning opportunities?
Absolutely! Come early or stay between services and enjoy a coffee at our Cafe.

We value community. We have several Connect groups that meet on our Springdale Campus during both the 9:30a, and 11:00a hour.
Our Norwood site also offers Connect group opportunities.
